Opening a Bank Account
To open a bank account in Japan, you must go to the bank counter.
You may be asked to provide an identification paper, documents showing your address and period of stay(e.g. residence card), and a telephone number where you can contact the bank.
Please note that you cannot open a bank account with "Temporary Visitor Status".
