Arranging accomodation
I cannot find accommodation for the time being after arriving in Japan.
Japan is a safe country compared to the countries of origin of most refugees, but dangers do exist. Please make sure you have a safe place to stay. If you are renting an apartment or other accommodation, make sure that electricity, gas, and water are available from the day you arrive.
Some municipalities may offer hotels or other accommodation facilities to people who fled from Ukraine for free. Some companies also provide free monthly apartments for them.
If you have any concerns, you can consult with the Ukrainian Evacuee Help Desk (available in Ukrainian, Russian, English, and Japanese) of the Immigration Services Agency of Japan.
We will update this website to provide accurate information, as it changes constantly.
