Can I get a cell phone contract in Japan?
You sign a contract with a cell phone company. There are a variety of plans available, including calling and data plans, and depending on the price, there may be an upper limit to the amount used. In some cases, you can simply replace the SIM card in your existing terminal (cell phone), while in other cases, you may need to purchase a terminal.
To sign a contract, go to the cell phone company with your identification documents and a bank account cash card, bankbook, or credit card that you will need for the fee payment procedure. For more information, please contact the Support-R Help Desk.
