Using childcare services
I have two children ages 3 and 7. Can I leave them while at work?
There are services available to take care of children depending on the situation, such as when you need to leave your child for a short period of time to take care of urgent business, to work part-time for a short period of time, or to freshen up, or when you work full-time and need to leave your child for a longer period of time each day. The service is generally available for children between the ages of 2 months and 6 years (before school age). For elementary school students, there are services available to take care of children after school. Fees vary depending on the facility used and the family's circumstances. For details, consult with the municipal office of the city, ward, town or village where you live.
Can I receive childcare support from my employer?
If you are working, check to see whether support services are offered at your workplace. Some services may be available for children over 6 years old.
